The concept of my groups promotional package of a film poster, magazine cover and a teaser trailer these are all to attract people to the film, and make people want to find out more about it and go and see it. They are all directed at the films target audience, as the particular audience will know what they are looking for in a film. The film poster will be released first and it will have the films release date on it, it will show the characters, have the tag line, some of the actors and directors names, and title of the film on it, not revealing too much information about the film, as the first poster will be a teaser poster. Then the magazine will be released with the film, 'Wrongcom' on the front cover of the magazine, this magazine will reveal a bit more information about the film with interviews with the director and some of the actors inside. Lastly, the teaster trailer will be released.
We want our film poster to show how our film is going to be unconventional the film is going to be and it also gives the information of who the actors are that will be appearing in our film, also just by looking at the characters you are able to see what the characters are going to be like, which are typical American 'geeks'.
The film magazine is going to give the potential audience a bit more information about the film, the cover is attempt to get them to buy the magazine to find out more about that film, and other films that are going to be released around the same time as our film. Both the film poster and magazine cover have different pictures.
The teaser trailer is going to show various clips some footage from the actual film and some that have just been shot for the teaser trailer. This will show audience a lot more about the film.
Good explanation of the function of your promotional elements, but don't you think the teaser trailer would be released first? The release date won't be on the teaser trailer, this would be on the theatrical trailer (which you're not creating) which would be released nearer the date of the film.
