Poster Idea

This is our movie poster, the first image is our poster picture without any editing, the second picture is our edited version. We editied the picture in order to enhance the photo and to make it look more like a more realistic film cover. The background has been edited and the lighting and colouring has been enhanced. 'Buddy's' head has been superimposed as it was facing the other way, away from the camera but as he is a main character he should be facing the camera as he should be the main focus of the film poster. The picture also had to be enhanced as you could not see the painting on the paper so it got redrew using Photoshop.
When comparing this picture to our initial idea we decided that the background we chosen originially was too unconventional and did not suit the film. So rather than using a scenic background we decided on using the school common room and added the students into the background to emphasise that it was set in a school and to emphasise how much the main characters stand out as all the other students are looking at the two main characters so all the focus is on them.

Set and location

We have decided to have a high school as our main location and setting for when filming our film. As our film is going to be released in January 2012 we have decided to film our teaser trailer in the winter so that the weather enties with not only the season of film release but also because our film will be set over a winter period. We are going to use our film as our setting as we feel this would be made to seem more realistic as it is as close to the classic American high school setting as we are able to get. We have taken some pictures of some of the settings that we are going to use.

The first indoor shot will be used for our film poster, rather than taking the picture outside which the mock up poster indicates, we thought that if we took it inside we would be able to have other students in the background to make it more realistic to the audience and to also make the school setting more believeable. It also emphasises the age of the main characters.
The second outside shot is the location that we are going to use when filming our teaser trailer as it is situated on a pathway between two buildings.

Storyboard

Whilst researching and creating our film we had to make a storyboard so we can prepare each scene of our teaser trailer to help us when we come to filming our trailer. This also allows us to prepare for the anamatic and gain a estimated film time.

Our storyboard includes all of the information about the audio and the description of each of the scenes. Although some changes will be made when filming, the stroyboard will be followed as a general guide line.
